We Made 8
So the story begins with the first championship: roughly, ten-plus years ago.
And as of the other day, the pressure to “MAKE 8”, almost “8” everyone up.
Winning first place would naturally be anyone’s aim.
And to do it 8 times would no doubt feel amazing.
Who wouldn’t want 8?
If theres one good thing competing does to anyone or any thing, its probably the
idea of trying to keep up and become better.
We admit that making 8 would make this even harder.
There is after all no secret formula to success, save for faith and hardwork( and that hopefully is no secret to anyone).
As the level of our game increases with its popularity and entertainment value, now more than ever,
anyone can be as close to being champions.
Honestly, we’re just happy and thankful we made it this far.
If only there was a print screen button we could press to keep a part of this hype forever.
Yet all we can hope for is that we will never forget.
And all we can do is thank you while we’re in this moment.
So we wish to thank you.
Our supporters: friends, relatives, schoolmates, teachers, and strangers in the crowd,
and at home praying, cheering with us, from here and distant places.
Our fans 😉 thank you for letting us into your lives. and allowing us to inspire however we can.
for your cheers and banners, and efforts to gather every one. for reaching out into places we can’t reach on our own.

And to our dear Coach Pio, Coach NJ and Coach Lala:
Theres so much more to say.
And to the Source of all Freedom: Thank You. Thank You. Thank You.
When the Oblation came up as the source of inspiration for this year’s routine,
we didn’t imagine how much its meaning would overwhelm not only our routine but also the journey towards its completion.
The Oblation, after all, is a symbol of freedom; and from its very meaning: an offering of one’s entire self.
For the country, the University, our team, and for a cause.
If only we could narrate to every one every detail of every moment that went by before last Saturday’s performance;
Admittedly, every team has its story. Even more certain, every team its own heartbreaks and sacrifices.
To argue which one is more appealing would be senseless.
Instead all we can do is extend our cheers and salute each team and each athlete who shared the stage with us.
Knowing that they, more than any one, understand the value of sacrifice and faith.
And hope that each one of them will be able to sow the fruits of their sacrifices as athletes and as students from their respective institutions.
As for our story, we offer this victory to everyone who offered a part of themselves,
who learned the true meaning of sacrifice, and who all became bastions of the Oblation to be in this moment of freedom
Freedom from all pressure, all worries and fears.
We have come to realize that the Oblation is not a theme for 2012.
But instead, an ideal that has been and should always be there whatever the theme may be.
And with it, we knew from the very start, that whatever happens, sooner or later,
we will MAKE 8 TOGETHER. ——> https://vimeo.com/50085592
